Pottery & Glass Fusing Combined Courses
Combined pottery and glass half-day or whole-day courses
My husband, Chris, runs workshops in pottery throwing for up to 4 people with a wheel each (see his website for more information on his pottery classes) and we offer a combined 1-day or half-day course in our workshop & studio in Worcester. Great for a taster of 2 crafts and makes a fun experience day for couples, friends or families.
Learn more about the glass fusing part here. In the pottery sessions you get to make some pots and decorate them with coloured slips in the same session. All pots are glazed and fired twice for you after the class.
1-day course:
- A bespoke course for you/your group of up to 8 people (max. 4 in each class) on a date to be arranged between us.
- The day (usually 10.30am-4pm) will include half a day of pottery class and half a day of glass class with a ploughman’s type buffet lunch (see below for details) and breaks for tea/coffee.
The cost for the whole day course is £280 for 1 person, £350 for 2, £430 for 3, £500 for 4, £600 for 5 people and +£100 extra for each extra person up to 8 people max. All of your pieces are fired for you. Your booking is private and you won't be joined by others except perhaps over lunch if another group is doing the course the other way around. If you are an individual who would like to join someone else then please let us know and we can try to combine with another person. You can buy a gift voucher or enquire by email.
A half-day combined course:
This is a popular variation: 1.5 hours of pottery and 1.5 hours of glass fusing. A maximum of 4 people in each class (we can accommodate a larger group of up to 8, split into 2 groups and you swap around at half-time). Half-day costs are: £140 for 1 person, £225 for 2, £280 for 3, £345 for 4, £435 for 5, £480 for 6, £525 for 7 or £600 for 8 people. All of your pieces are fired for you. Instead of the glass fusion session, you could opt for an enamelled jewellery class - 3 people max, please ask at time of booking. You can also choose a half-day combined glass fusing and enamelling course if you prefer.
The courses include all materials and the firing of your pieces for collection in approximately 3 weeks (postage can be arrange at a cost).

Our legendary lunches with whole-day courses!
Word of our lunches that we provide for our whole-day courses has spread far and wide! We have had people approach us to do a course who specifically want to do a whole day course instead of a half-day because of the lunch they've heard about!
I try to provide produce from our allotment when in season and make things like home-made salads, Spanish tortilla and Dorset apple cake and we buy lovely breads and cheeses, pate, ham etc. My own chilli jam and elderflower champagne (non-alcoholic!) are usually available too.
We are very informal - you all help yourselves in the kitchen and can go back round again whenever you like! We try to cater for most dietary requirements if you let us know in advance too.
